Executive Overview

Roxy Industries Ltd., an agro processing, packing and distributing company, is the brainchild of Alvin Poyser CEO/President who has  M.A. degrees in Economics and Education from Columbia University. Roxy represents a culmination of a lifetime journey of melding a Pan African perspective of Self Determination via a strong economic base with the appreciation of the power of traditional herbs and roots which can contribute significantly to the health and well being of individuals who are committed to a natural lifestyle. Roxy is largely a privately owned and funded family business with the partnership of close family friends. The existing facilities were constructed from the ground up. Construction of the physical plant has been completed. Installation of the boilers, fermentation tanks and packing machines is ongoing. A target start up date for production is the first week in August 2006.

The Roxy Industries Ltd initial manufacturing plant is a modern facility with special focus on providing a clean, healthy and safe work environment for our valued employees. Additionally, Roxy will be seeking certifications from international organizations such as HACCP and ISO. Roxy has created its own in-house quality control laboratory testing facility to ensure that the standards of all our products are sustained and repeatable, in order to maintain product consistency and quality.

Roxy will be offering a range of products: The initial product offering will be the signature flagship Roosta roots drink manufactured from the best natural roots blend. In blind controlled testing Roosta was preferred by virtually all the tasters to other leading roots drinks products available in Jamaica today. Its potency in delivering the “goods” is indisputable.
